Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in Newport News

I just left the drive thru and the entire experience was awful. While trying to order the young man taking our order rushed us while we were trying to speak. We only wanted two donuts, and while ordering our first one he just kept asking if we wanted 12. When we explained that no we just wanted one chocolate he gave us the total and told us to come to window. We told him we had more to order. He then kept asking about beverages and we asked him to hold on, we were going to order drinks, we just hadn’t finished talking. He then grew frustrated and with his mic still on, preceded to talk badly to his coworker about us as if we were bothering him by even coming through. Once we got our drinks, they weren’t even good. My iced coffee tasted like straight water. Definitely won’t be back.

Came in today to get two doughnuts and the cashier Kierra was very polite she greeted me as soon as I walked in the store very sweet young lady with great customer service and my doughnuts came right off the line hot and fresh I give this place 5 stars I wish I could give it 10!

Maybe dont put the HOT light on if the original doughnuts arent going to be hot...... alsoooooo dont call it a Custard filled doughnut if theres actually going to be no custard in the doughnut.. what a waste of money and time! 12$ for doughnuts that probably would have tasted better from Dunkin! Seriously huge dissapointment. And yes I wouldd love to be reimbursed for this.

Purchased Doughnuts for clients. The "Hot Now" was on and it's a frugal treat to have available. Service was fast, courteous staff & 😊

The staff was friendly, and the service was fast. They make the donuts here, so the kids get to see the donut machine and the glaze waterfall. You can get a dozen still hot donuts right off the conveyor belt. I was thinking that it won't make my doctor happy, but then I turned and saw him in line behind me, holding his kid, with a big smile on his face.

I went through the drive through for some donuts, which were good. The service was nice except that everyone who worked there was wearing their face masks under their chin. I’m assuming they are supposed to wear the masks but if it’s not covering your nose and mouth it’s useless. I’m not going back until this pandemic is over.

I was happy to get fresh donuts as to the mini donuts were not as fresh as iij t should have been that was a disappointment

The donuts were hard & we did not get the ones requested in the classic mini set. Also felt like we were being rushed!

It's not as good as the first month it was open but it's ok. Heres the thing, the coffee is NOT good. I mean Dunkin Donuts is horrible but they have super good coffee. You know coffee is on a massive trend up and has been for years. So invest some more time into that.

Very disappointed. I was thrilled to get the strawberry-creme filled donuts... waited in line for 20-25 minutes only to learn they didn’t have them. I ordered the strawberry glazed and they were cold! Not just room temperature but cold as though they pulled them from the reefer and let them sit out for a few minutes. Highly disappointed because the Hot and Ready light was also on.... so not only did they not have what they advertised but they were also cold.

It is not that I disliked it but the last 2 times I bought donuts the staff members gave me original donuts with no glaze. Zo I haven't been back lately but when I finally do I will make sure that I check them before I leave the store. The store is always clean though & the staff are sometimes friendly.

Disappointed. Really wanted hot donut. They were making some filled, but couldn't have one. $7.77 for 6. Went across street and paid $5.46 for pepperoni pizza. Glazed donut was average. I'm spoiled with hot ones.

Friendly staff, Fast service, and delicious donuts. What more can you ask for? Perfect for the guy that’s running late to work.

This is a busy place. Sometimes they get large carry out orders, this slows everything down. Be patient, it’s worth the wait. KK Donuts are no doubt the very, very best around. The fresh hot ones are outstanding by far. Enjoy all of them, be patient.

I love the chocolate glazed donuts that are sadly only available every first Wednesday of the month. Nice staff, clean store. Everything‘s great.

The service was poor. The staff makes you feel as you are bothering them for even coming to the store. Next how can a Krispy Kreme only have 5 to 6 donuts to choose. As much as I love Krispy Kreme the more I go the less of an option. Even with a coupon I most likely not visit this location.

I have been going to Krispe Kreme in Hampton for 30 years. Tonight I went to the one on Jefferson. Worst donuts ever! No creme in the creme filled because it is all dried out. All the donuts are stale and dry . Very disappointed. Never had a bad donut at the Hampton store. Its worth the drive from now on.

The hot nows are fantastic! The drive through can be a little slow at times, but overall good customer service and great donuts!

The place looks great, very spacious and clean. There's indoor and outdoor seating which is great for any kind of day and the donuts are to die for, especially when their red "Hot" sign is lit up 😊👍

Although only the drive-thru is open it did move pretty quickly considering there was quite a line when I got there. OMG it's been awhile since I had a hot Krispy Kreme donut; it's a little taste of Heaven! I only gave it four stars because the selection of donuts was extremely Limited. It would have been nice to be able to get a powdered sugar or a chocolate cake donut. But all in all another great visit to Krispy Kreme.

I came for birthday because the hot sign was on. I asked for a hot original glazed donut, and they told me they pretty much are out of them but they would give me one off the belt, but when I received the donut it was cold. I got the free coffee as well, and they forgot to include the creamers and sugars. Definitely not the best experience to waste gas on again.

The tables were sticky.... Like the rag was not fresh. The workers stood at the donut trolly waiting for donuts instead of addressing customer questions or taking payment while waiting. Then when the donuts came all the customers waited in line at the payment counter.

Employees acted very bizarre and didn't really talk to us. We had asked if they did a half dozen and they never answered. We asked multiple times.

The donuts are best got and fresh. Never knew this till I actually made it for them this way. They're still good all around. Today they made it right for me due to an online error. Wonderful staff, very friendly and polite.

I ordered a dozen donuts, and the lady at the register accidentally dropped a coin into the box. She gave me a whole new box, also a free drink for the inconvenience. I wish I remembered her name.... also its Krispy Kreme, so the donuts are pretty lit

They lack variates. No glazed chocolate cake or apple fritters. It is a little odd what you expect to be the established variates on their website aren't ubiquitous among all stores.

Most Krispy Kreme are delicious and hot out of the oven. This location is no different. We went through the drive thru. It was fast even though there was a line. Krispy Kreme needs to offer military discount If my review and pictures helped you then please give me a thumbs up

A hot, fresh krispy kreme donut is about as close to euphoria as you can get on any regular, plain Jane day. My husband regular gets a fresh dozen to snack on, day1 and 2 are fabulous. Day 3 eat them or throw them out. You can reheat for 5-10 sec to get them melt in your mouth delicious again. Having a Krispy Kreme so close is dangerous!

Clean, convenient and love the Friday chocolate iced $2 special.

I usaly love Krispy Kreme! Hot light was on yesterday and we sit and the longest line ever to get told that they have only chocolate iced donuts.Even though the sign said HOT GLAZED DONUTS! what are you serving hot air?

Great place nice staff very courteous and friendly when we could not make up our mind he stood there very nicely and waited for us and even made suggestions. There are very efficient we got in and out at a great time.

I would give this place zero stars if possible. Don’t go through the drive thru, even with a short line they take SO long. Their customer service is unbelievably terrible, and the person at the window was not wearing a mask. There are better places to get donuts.

Glazed donuts in the morning are the best. They're warm and fresh every morning, plus you can watch them make the donuts too. They have good coffee and other donuts as well. This is one of my favorite donut places ever

Staff was very patient with our little kiddies. Ample space to sit and the donuts are outta this world! Well worth the 40 min drive.

The donuts are not like they use to be. When you reheat them they aren't soft like were when they had the old stores.
